These Ornaments are made with Copper Ruby glass. A unique characteristic of this color is it's ability to appear as a bright rainbow of color when light is shown on it's surface, as you can see on the left hand column.When light is transmitted through, as shown in the right hand column, a deep red color is seen. A spectacular piece, not to be left out of any ornament collection.

The Red glass used in these ornaments has historic roots having been derived from a German glass formula which dates back to about 1926.
Red glass can be very difficult to melt, and has a very narrow range of temperature tolerance to work properly. It is for this reason that we have suspended production of these ornaments.
